Looking at the world today, the problem i see is not the youth movement started in the late fifties, continuing to this day with its rebels questioning authorities through beatniks, flower power, punks, neo rights, leftists, or modern art. Or music, film, literature, or todays climate or money distribution movements. Nor is the problem the abstract and stubborn rationality of established order through old worn out ideologies, wall street politics, or economic theory. Our religious views or our -isms.
What we see in our world are the symptoms of all of that. And the tension we have in the world is the absence of the unification of the two in the world of individuals.
The grumpy old men of frozen and established order versus the dynamic views and concerns coming from outside of time in our youth. Often this youth present their need for change in something even more rigid than the present protectors of the past. But the one are in a desperate need of the other.
Its a real horror to watch.
