When we are leaving childhood and are in a transition, moving into young adults, we realize that the world we are living in is really a horrible shitworld containing every single horror we can possibly think of. Nothing of what we have learned so far prepared us for this, and nobody comes to guide us. We are on our own trying to decide on what to accept of it, what our own part of it is, and what we really need to compromise with. If we are lucky, we go into this with a strong personal sense of who we are, feeling confident in ourselves. Because what happens now is determined by the foundation of how you got here. You are going to be pounded so hard by opposites that no words of comfort that do not correctly confirm or identify your experiences will be accepted by you, they will be instantly rejected. We act on impulse now. We are on impulse mode, learning about ourselves, so we are not susceptible to anything else. And as we are moving in our direction, we are going to realize just how helpless both those closest to us, and everyone else really are to the horrors of this world, and to the pressure this battle causes in us. Most of us have not been equipped with what we need to face this. People with a background in native traditional beliefs have a great advantage here compared to the average urban-rural divided westener.
Hopefully you will pass through. With or without any guidance. Mostly by blindness, ignorance, imprudence and disbelief.
But somehow later in life, we will have to try to find the language and the means to face it properly.
We have to ready ourselves for it, because it will come back to hit us again every time we are required to make a transition in life. Or someone else around us do.
And if we didn´t do it right the first time, we will have to do it all over again together with everything that we left behind inside of us.
